UnityPulseDictate straight into any web EMR.
UnityPulse Dictation is one browser extension for both products. Sign in with your TScribe or Ureport account, right-click a text field, and speak. The finished report lands where the cursor is.
Dictation uses the credits on your UnityPulse account.
What the extension does
Right-click, speak, done
Put the cursor in any text field on any site, right-click and choose “Dictate with UnityPulse”. A floating mic button sits on every page while the extension is on.
Your templates, synced or not
Dictate freestyle, into one of your templates, or say only what changed. The extension uses your own templates whether or not you have turned on cloud sync.
Formatting survives
Headings, bold and lists come through as formatting where the field supports it, not stray asterisks.
Drafts kept in the extension
A recording that is interrupted is kept in the extension so it can be retried, the same way the apps keep drafts.
Fill a whole form Ureport
“Fill this form with UnityPulse” fills a whole web form from one dictation. You review every field before anything is written, and pre-filled fields are never overwritten unless you tick them.
Reads nothing until you ask
The extension reads and writes only the field you dictate into, on the page you are on, when you ask it to. It does not read pages in the background and does not send page content to us.
The permissions, in plain words.
Browsers show a list of permissions when you install. Here is what each one is for and what it is not for.
Microphone
To record your dictation while you hold or press the mic. Audio goes to the UnityPulse transcription service over an encrypted connection and is deleted after the report is returned. Nothing is recorded until you press record.
Read and change data on the site you are on (activeTab)
To place the report in the field you chose and, for form filling, to read the labels of the fields on the form you asked it to fill. It works only on the tab you invoked it on, at that moment.
Context menus (contextMenus)
To add “Dictate with UnityPulse” and “Fill this form with UnityPulse” to the right-click menu.
Storage (storage)
To keep your sign-in session, your settings, your templates and any interrupted drafts in the browser. This data stays in your browser profile.
The floating mic button
Shown on every page while the extension is switched on so you can start dictating without opening the menu. Switch the extension off and the button goes away.
What it never does
It does not read pages in the background, does not collect browsing history, does not send page content to UnityPulse, and does not write into a field you did not point it at.

Which account do I sign in with?
Either. Radiologists and sonographers sign in with their TScribe account; everyone else with their Ureport account. It is the same UnityPulse account underneath. Organisation members use their organisation’s shared credits.
Does it work with our EMR?
If your EMR or HIS runs in a browser and has a text field, yes. There is nothing to configure on the hospital side. For systems that do not run in a browser, copy and paste from the app always works, and organisations can set up direct filing over HL7 FHIR.
Is the page content sent to UnityPulse?
No. Only your audio is sent, to be transcribed, and it is deleted after the report comes back. For form filling, the field labels on the form you chose are used locally to place the right values in the right fields.
Does it charge credits?
Installing is free. Producing a report uses credits from the account you signed in with, the same as in the app. Live captions and interrupted drafts are never charged.
